Pumpkin Fun

This weekend was perfect! We had absolutely no plans (for the first time in a while) and took full advantage by relaxing, watching football and making memories with the kiddos! We let Grayson put his artistic skills to work by painting a mini pumpkin. He had a BLAST as is evident by the look on his face. This was such an easy and inexpensive activity with minimal mess. We made sure to use washable #crayola paint for easy clean up because there is always an accident or two when using paint. I even got in on the action at halftime of the LSU game and decorated my own pumpkin. I'm pretty sure that's what did the trick in bringing home that win:) After the game was over we decided to carve a pum

Halloween Ghost Cookies

One of my favorite Halloween traditions is making ghost cookies. We have done it every year for as long as I can remember. Now that Grayson is getting older, I am so excited to be able to share this fun and yummy tradition with him! Ghost Cookies are a simple but delicious Halloween treat. They don't take very long to make, require no baking (fool proof!), and they make the perfect festive dessert that you can take to any Halloween party! To make ghost cookies you need the following: Nabisco Nutter Butter Cookies White Chocolate Wafers Candy Eyes Cookie sheet lined with wax or parchment paper Instructions: Melt the white chocolate according the the directions on the packet. Pumpkin Patch 2019

This weekend we took a road trip to West Monroe to visit family and attend the St. Francis Pumpkin Patch. This was something that was on our #fallbucketlist, and it was a great weekend! The pumpkin patch was awesome! There was so much for the kids to do, and Grayson especially had so much fun running around and participating in all the activities. The first thing we did was find the perfect pumpkin. Grayson thought it was his duty to stand up every pumpkin that had fallen over so the it would not have a "bo-bo." We got 2 great pumpkins that we can't wait to carve next weekend! One of the best parts of the pumpkin patch was the petting zoo and pony rides. Grayson LOVES animals so we knew he w

A few weekends ago we took our little Tiger to his first LSU game. Jason and I both went to LSU and are huge Tiger fans, so we were so excited to take Grayson to the game. Our best friends and their little boy were in town visiting from South Carolina, so we knew this would be the perfect game to bring them to. We got the boys matching outfits and loaded them with snacks for the drive to Tiger Stadium. It was a day game, and we weren't playing a ranked team, so the crowds weren't too bad. In South Louisiana its still in the 90s though...it was HOT! We got to campus and did a little bit of tailgating. Then, we headed into the stadium. Grayson was AMAZED by the football players. He kept yellin

Halloween Decor

Growing up, my mom went all out decorating for every. single. holiday. I'm sure that's where I get it from, and now that I have kids it's even more fun to decorate. This year Grayson was SO excited to help put out the "ween" decorations, as he calls them. Here is a peek at some of the Halloween decor we put up this year. The outside is one of my favorite areas. I found the door swags on major sale at Michaels and the witch legs were from Grandin Road, also on sale. Everything else is a hand-me-down from my mom. That's one of the best perks of her love for decorating...I get so much of her extras! The pumpkin with the hat is has been around since I was a kid and it's held up well! The foyer

Hi! I'm Nicole

I'm a 34 year old wife and working mama who was born and raised in South Louisiana.  I'm married to my best friend and we live in the Baton Rouge area. We have a toddler and a baby together, and I'm so lucky to also have a 14-year old stepson, who is the best big brother in the world.  With three kids so spread out in age and a full time job, life tends to get chaotic. No matter what though, family comes first. Follow along as I share our journey as a family of 5, along with  some tips and tricks of how I do my best to keep it all together.
