Like many families, we often overestimate the amount of food we need on Thanksgiving Day. The big question is "What to do with all the leftover turkey!?!" There is the obvious answers of turkey sandwiches or putting the meat on a salad, but that gets old quick. Today I'm sharing three easy and delicious recipes that would be perfect for all of your Turkey Day leftovers. Turkey Enchiladas We LOVE Mexican food in our family, so this recipe is right up our alley! I've made a variation of this dish many times with chicken, but this was my first time testing it out with turkey and it was delish! This super simple meal is perfect for a only takes about 10 minutes to prep and 20 min

Road Trips with Tots

Since my parents live over an hour from us and Jason's parents are currently 4 plus hours away, we take a LOT of road trips with our kiddos. Weekend trips with little kids can be stressful, but I've leaned a few tips and tricks that help make it a little easier. Weekend road trips are always so much fun, but exhausting at the same time. There is the packing, the driving to your destination (which can often be the most stressful part with babies who don't like the car!) and the fact that everyone is out of their routine when away from home. When you get home, you have to unpack, do laundry and regroup for the upcoming week; it can be a LOT. Let's be real too....most of the work falls on mom (

Quick and Easy Thanksgiving Meal

Planning and preparing an entire Thanksgiving meal is a LOT of work. Over the years, I've watched my mom and mother-in-law make elaborate feasts for holidays, and while I am a pretty decent cook, I have never had to prepare a full blown Thanksgiving meal by myself for my family. Next, we added 5 candy corn to the top, which created the feathers. Then, we used the

Grayson's 1st Birthday Throwback

How is it possible that my baby boy will be TWO in less than two weeks?! Since I didn't have this blog for Grayson's first birthday, I wanted to make a throwback post sharing all of the cute decor and DIY projects I did to prepare. It was an LSU themed party for our Little Tiger, so I figure there is no better time to post than today when our team is about to play its biggest game of the season vs Alabama. This blog also serves as as digital scrapbook for our family, so it will be great for Grayson to look back on one day. Since Grayson was born in the middle of an LSU game, it was only fitting that we made his monthly milestone pictures LSU themed. To keep it going, I planned an LSU party

I'm a 34 year old wife and working mama who was born and raised in South Louisiana.  I'm married to my best friend and we live in the Baton Rouge area. We have a toddler and a baby together, and I'm so lucky to also have a 14-year old stepson, who is the best big brother in the world.  With three kids so spread out in age and a full time job, life tends to get chaotic. No matter what though, family comes first. Follow along as I share our journey as a family of 5, along with  some tips and tricks of how I do my best to keep it all together.
